Stay classy, sassy and a little bad-assy. Azuñia Tequila has launched a quest to find Phoenix's Best Lady Bartender with a girl-powered cocktail competition on Monday, May 16, at Tuck Shop. An all-women judges panel includes Christina Barrueta of WriteOnrubee.com, Libby Lingua of UnderTow and Barter & Shake, and acclaimed chef Samantha Sanz of the Four Seasons Scottsdale.
“This competition, like estate-grown Azuñia organic tequila, is for women who believe in quality and balance in life,” said Kailee Asher, Sales Manager, and Mixologist for Azuñia Tequila. “Many in the food and beverage industry work long hours day and night. Azuñia, in conjunction with women-owned Tuck Shop and the Phoenix Bartenders' Guild, wants to celebrate the efforts of women in the highly competitive and strenuous industry of mixology. Additionally, we want to encourage industry women to find balance in their lives.” Asher concluded.
Competitors will be judged on factors of Flavor, Appearance, Bartender Presentation, and Imagination.. The winner of the Best Lady Bartender of Phoenix competition will be featured in digital content on Azunia.com and Azuñia’s social media profiles and prizes include health and wellness-focused packages such as a resort “Staycation + Spa” grand prize.
