As part of its 75th anniversary weekend celebration from Friday, September 24 through Sunday, September 26, Macayo’s Mexican Food presents two exclusive four-course Patron tequila pairing dinners. The first takes place on Friday, September 24, at Macayo’s in Mesa at 1920 South Dobson Road, and the second at Macayo’s in Scottsdale at 8608 East Shea Boulevard.
Cocktail hour for each event begins at 6:00 p.m., featuring Sparkling Mexican Fresca made on a margarita cart and chips and Macayo’s signature salsas. Dinner at 6:30 p.m. feaures four courses paired with Patron cocktails. A Patron master mixologist and bartender as well as a Macayo’s chef will co-host the event and discuss each plate and pairing. Seating is limited and cost is $40 per person or $75 per couple, plus tax and gratuity, which includes a swag bag with gifts from Macayo’s and Patron. First Course — Fried Avocado on Pepe’s Picante Salsa and Green Corn Tamale Bites with Baja Sauce with “DIY” tableside Classic Margaritas
Second Course — Latin Chopped Salad with Blood Orange Vinaigrette Dressing served with a Watermelon Jalapeno Margarita
Entrée Course, choice of one — Stuffed Poblano served with Black Beans & Cilantro White Rice, Shredded Chicken with Red Enchilada Sauce and Baja Sauce, or a Stuffed Poblano and Veggies with Fire-Roasted Tomatillo Salsa and Baja Sauce paired with a specialty “Desert Sun” cocktail
Dessert Course — Cinco Leches Cake complemented by Barrel Select Reposado, served neat
