On April 9, the 2nd Annual FRIED, French Fry & Music Festival, presents some of the Valley’s most creative culinary talent and showcases their versions of gourmet French fries.   The 2019 festival was a French fry-topia with 20-plus participants making everything from carne asada and pulled pork fries to kimchee, chorizo, lobster, and even Bolognese fries.  Also part of the festivities this year: lawn games from AZ Board Source, bars with craft beer and wine, a local marketplace, and other culinary offerings like burgers and desserts.. Attendees can ride bikes to the festival and valet their wheels with Phoenix Spokes People. 

 This festival is produced by PHX Fest, calorie-loving creators of the Phoenix Pizza Festival. The event benefits Downtown Phoenix Inc., a community group that works to make Downtown Phoenix a vibrant, world-class city.  Tickets:  $12 entry – online purchase only – at www.friedfestival.com
