Get ready to join the sixth annual Urban Ale Trail Saturday, Sept. 7. Hosted by Downtown Phoenix Inc., this walkable beer tasting tour runs along the light rail corridor from Downtown Phoenix to uptown. More than 20 participating bars and restaurans will offer three 4-ounce samples of beer for $1 or $2 each, paired with a delicious and complimentary bar snack — while supplies last.
Many locations are serving up AZ brews — including Dust Cutter at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel. Try the Achocolypse, a chocolate-infused dark porter from Prescott Brewing Company, and enjoy live entertainment in Dust Cutter’s modern urban saloon. Then, jump on over to Chico Malo for a sample of Lumberyard Brewing Company’s Hazy Angel IPA or imported beers like a Bohemia Clásica or Dos Equis Ambar. Arizona Wilderness DTPHX will be making its Urban Ale Trail debut with plenty of “hoptions”— choose any three samples from AZW brews!
Participation is free and the tour is self-guided. The first 300 people to stop by Patriots Park at CityScape Phoenix will be handed a free commemorative beer koozie and bottle opener. Print maps will be available online for download, and at participating locations. For a list of participating locations, visit this link: www.dtphx.org/aletrail
