Elote Café Hosts One-Day-Only Event Exploring the Art of Tequila
Join famed Chef Jeff Smedstad for seven courses of Tequila-inspired cuisine, rare Tequila tastings, & a master's class iat Elote Café. The Arizona restaurant is known for its scenic views of the Sedona Red Rocks, its award-winning fusion of farm-fresh flavors from Southern Mexico and the American Southwest, and its selection of fine tequilas. Elote Café, usually closed Sundays, is making an exception for this special event on Sunday, May 7. Starting promptly at 2 pm, James Beard Award-nominated Chef Jeff Smedstad, with the help of Herradura and Patron, will present a Tequila master's class.
Attendees will taste the artistry of Chef Smedstad with seven courses of small plates crafted specially for the event. Some plates will include Tequila as an ingredient while others will be paired with a variety of artisanal Tequilas. Chef Smedstad and Tequila experts will guide guests through the basics of Tequila and complementary cuisine and briefly explore the different refinement processes of Tequila in a mini multimedia lecture series.
