Chef/Owner Ivan Jacobo of award-winning fine-dining kitchen, Anhelo, and an Estrella Mountain Community College alum, is giving back to the Estrella community by launching the Anhelo Restaurant Scholarship Foundation and hosting a wine dinner on Thursday, March 23 at 6pm. The goal is to raise funds to award four full-ride scholarships to the Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Culinary Arts program at Estrella Mountain Community College. Seats must be reserved through OpenTable and are priced at $600 pp, which will include award-winning wine pairings from around the world, with an option to add on the $400 Chef’s Section featuring caviar, a glass of 2009 Cheval Blanc, and exclusive wines from the Chef and Wine Director’s personal cellar.
