Downtown Scottsdale Wineries Launch Scottsdale Wine Trail
October 22 Harvest Festival Marks Official Debut
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Sep. 2, 2016)—Five downtown Scottsdale wine tasting rooms have joined forces to launch the first ever “Scottsdale Wine Trail.” This cooperative of wineries united efforts will continue to advance education and exposure for Arizona produced wines and wineries.
The Scottsdale Wine Trail is comprised of: LDV Winery , Carlson Creek , Aridus Wine Company, Su Vino Winery and Salvatore Vineyards. All of the wineries have tasting rooms/retail shops that are within walking distance. The Scottsdale Wine Trail features an official SWT Passport to oenophiles or just everyday wine lovers offering SWT swag, and special discounts for completing the Wine Trail tasting program. Details and signup for the SWT Passport are online at www.scottsdalewinetrail.com.
On December 15, the SWT will host a Santa Clause themed “wine-around” and details are forthcoming. In addition, the SWT will host monthly “Wine Around Wednesdays,” every first Wednesday of the month beginning in January of 2017.
“It was time to join forces and encourage residents and visitors alike to embrace our thriving Scottsdale wine scene. With five local tasting rooms, Scottsdale has become a wine tasting destination and the Scottsdale Wine Trail will be another way to enjoy locally produced wines and experience part of our culture,” said LDV Wine Gallery Co-Owner, Peggy Fiandaca.
More details about each winery and wine tasting room including locations and hours are below:
LDV Winery
LDV Winery’s Wine Gallery brings a piece of the vineyard to Scottsdale. The charming redeveloped bungalow has an art gallery and two shaded patios where guests enjoy wine flights (4-5 wine tastes), glasses of wine, or a bottle while sharing a cheese/charcuterie platter. The Wine Gallery is the perfect place to meet friends for happy hour, attend a wine workshop, or have the winery host your special event. It gives you a Napa Valley wine country feel in Scottsdale.
In 2008, a wine collecting passion for LDV Winery owners Peggy Fiandaca and Curt Dunham became much more when they purchased 40 acres and planted their first grapes in southeastern Arizona. The LDV Winery today produces 100% estate award-winning Rhone-varietal wines that reflect the unique high-altitude environment of the Chiricahua Mountain Foothills. “We are passionate about managing the vineyard and showcasing each vintage as the once in a lifetime event that it is by creating rich, flavorful wines that pair well with food,” said Curt, winemaker.

Su Vino Winery
Su Vino Winery, Scottsdale is the second installment of the award winning winery founded in Texas. Su Vino means “Your Wine” in Italian and Spanish and we use an open hand as our logo. The hand represents the skill and dedication of the craftsman, the uniqueness of the individual, and the friendliness of an open palm. As a custom winery, not only do we make our own wines for sale by the bottle where we specialize in unique and interesting varietals and blends, but we can customize a wine to your palate. In addition, you get to participate in the winemaking process by bottling and corking your wine and placing your own personalized label on the wine which then makes the perfect holiday gifts, business promotional items, wedding favors, or just to have in your own cellar.
Su Vino Winery is located in the Arts District of Downtown Scottsdale where it hosts events, wine tasting, and wine making. They strive to make wine more fun and friendly by breaking down the barriers of wine speak and wine snobbery. The winery holds educational sessions to help people get more comfortable with wine and they are all about trying new wines in new ways.
