RA Sushi Unveils New North Scottsdale Restaurant
RA Sushi unveils new location, design with opening of North Scottsdale restaurant on Oct. 3
Opening day sales of creative sushi, inventive cocktails benefit Scottsdale-based Every Kid Counts
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Oct. 5, 2016) – It’s time for North Scottsdale to explore its RA side unlike ever before as RA Sushi opened the doors to its newest location on Monday, Oct. 3, at Scottsdale Towne Square (13802 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85254) on the northeast corner of Scottsdale and Thunderbird Roads.
Relocating from Kierland Commons, which closed on Sept. 30, the North Scottsdale restaurant boasts a larger footprint and more centralized location, and will unveil a new design for the iconic brand, which first debuted in Scottsdale in 1997.
As part of its grand opening celebration, the restaurant has partnered with Every Kid Counts, which provides educational, athletic and philanthropic programs to help today’s youth become tomorrow’s leaders. The restaurant will donate a part of grand opening sales to benefit the organization’s mission.
Known for its innovative menu, which includes creative sushi and handcrafted cocktails served up in an energetic atmosphere, RA’s newest 6,515-square-foot restaurant includes a vibrant bar area; covered wrap-around patio with specially designed seating around a showcase fire pit, bar-side seating for intimate groups and expansive modular space for happy hour gatherings; a full dining room with both booth and table seating; and a uniquely designed sushi bar that accommodates large groups, as well as the more traditional individual seats. RA Sushi’s signature red hue and a fish-branded sushi bar will continue to be a mainstay.
“We are incredibly proud to launch our new location in North Scottsdale and showcase the fresh new design for a brand that was launched here nearly 20 years ago,” said Mike Johnson, vice president of Operations for RA Sushi. “While the design has been updated to reflect a more modern dining experience and special design features, RA Sushi’s commitment to innovation continues to be the driving force behind everything we do.”
Diners looking to explore their RA side by taking a plate-side adventure will continue to have a lot to savor – from the restaurant’s signature Viva Las Vegas Roll and RA’llipop to Blushing Geisha, Tiki Talk and other flavor-infused cocktails. Additionally, RA Sushi will continue to offer innovative seasonal menus, which include bold dishes, specialty cocktails and craft beers. Most recently, RA Sushi introduced a new smokey menu just for fall. With smoke-infused cocktails such as the Geisha’s Spell or cooking tableside on Japanese hot rocks, the dining experience is sure to be memorable.
In addition to full lunch, dinner, sushi and cocktail selections, the restaurant is well known throughout the Valley for both its RA’ckin Happy Hour and late-night Happy Hour. The restaurant also features to-go and robust catering options for individuals and companies looking to bring an Asian kitchen to their dining experience. For guests looking for non-sushi items, RA Sushi’s staff can help plan the perfect culinary adventure with numerous cooked options on the menu.
RA Sushi currently operates six restaurants in Arizona, including North Scottsdale, Ahwatukee Foothills, Old Town Scottsdale, Downtown Tempe, Mesa and La Encantada in Tucson.
The restaurant’s hours are 11 a.m. to midnight on Sunday to Thursday and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Happy Hour runs from 3 to 7 p.m. every day, plus late night Happy Hour from 10 p.m. to close and Sunday from 3 p.m. to close. The North Scottsdale location’s phone number will remain 480-951-5888.
