Ahipoki Bowl Announces Two New Phoenix Locations
Cityscape and 7th Avenue and McDowell pegged as the newest locations for the growing poke concept.
(PRESS RELEASE) - Making their move into foodie-rich CenPho, Ahipoki will soon be opening in the popular Cityscape courtyard right next to Starbucks and taking over an existing Jersey Mike’s at the southeast corner of 7th Avenue and McDowell.
First to open by mid to late February will be the 7th Avenue and McDowell location which is close to the same timeframe that their much anticipated ASU store will open in Tempe. The larger conversion at Cityscape, which was a former Verizon store, should open late spring.
For Ahipoki, who introduced the popular poke bowl concept to Arizona just last April, this will total five locations opened including their Chandler and Scottsdale stores with several more to be announced in the coming months.
Poke, a Hawaiian based dish featuring diced sushi grade fish like ahi tuna, salmon, shrimp and yellowtail garnished with vegetables and exotic toppings like daikon sprouts, seaweed salad and masago served over a bowl of rice is the quick serve industry’s hottest new concept.
Ahipoki Bowl Arizona, LLC and Bad Dog Concepts are owned by Michael Zimmerman and Jason Jantzen. Zimmerman also owns Republic West Home, a twenty year old construction company specializing in remodeling and restaurant build-outs. Jantzen is owner of Phoenix Marketing Associates, a top marketing and PR firm in Scottsdale with a long track record of successes in marketing within the restaurant and hospitality industries.
“7th Avenue and McDowell is a growing hotspot for food lovers and we’re thrilled with the external marketing that Cityscape does for its downtown tenants, explained Zimmerman. “These two new locations centralize our concept and help to meet the growing demand for poke in Phoenix.”
