Chef Cullen Campbell to Close Bar Pesce on July 30 Following Weeklong Celebration
After 7 wonderful years, Bar Pesce will be closing with a week of can't-miss culinary fun
(PRESS RELEASE) Founded in 2012 as Crudo and reimagined in 2018 as Bar Pesce, Chef Cullen Campbell will be closing the doors to his award-winning restaurant on Tuesday, July 30. Throughout the years, Chef Campbell and the restaurant earned a variety of awards including Phoenix Magazine's Best New Restaurant, 4.5 stars from Arizona Republic restaurant critic Howard Seftel, Open Table Diner's Choice, Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame Chef of the Year, and many more for their food and drink programs. Plus, Chef Campbell had the honor of cooking twice at the James Beard House in New York, once on his own in 2013 and a second time with the Arizona Seven Chefs in 2015.
"It's bittersweet to close Bar Pesce after seven years, but it was an amazing ride," says chef and owner Cullen Campbell. "Thank you to all of our customers for making it a wonderful seven years, we appreciate all the love."
Chef Campbell and Bar Pesce will be celebrating the ride with a week full of specialty dinners featuring all your favorite dishes, a taco party, and more. Starting tonight (Tuesday, July 23), it all culminates in a grand finale on Monday, July 29 featuring two former sous chefs cooking together with chef-owner, Cullen Campbell, to craft a Pizza & Pét-Nat Party.
Kicking off on Tuesday, July 23, enjoy Sips, Sushi & Spins as Chef Cullen Campbell serves up sushi and crudo tapas, paired with delicious wines and classic vinyl records spinning all night long (bar area only).
Starting on Wednesday, July 24 savor "The Week of Crudo"with throwback prices on the tasting menus, including 3-courses for $30, 4-courses for $40 and 5-courses for $50. Served nightly through Saturday, July 27.
This Thursday, July 25, don't miss the final Tacos & Riesling night featuring gourmet tacos such as fish, pigs head or potato on Tacos Chiwas tortillas paired with summery versions of this classic sipping wine (bar area only).
The Last Supper on Saturday, July 27, will be the last night of dinner service at Bar Pesce.
Finally, come say goodbye on Monday, July 29 with a Pizza & Pét-Nat (sparkling wine) party featuring former Bar Pesce/Crudo sous chefs, including Cassie Shortino of Tratto and Jacob Anderson of Nelson's Meat + Fish.
