Arizona Foodie Fundraiser
Supporting Local Food/Beverage Workers
Arizona Foodie Launches a Fundraiser for Restaurant Workers
(PRESS RELEASE)— During this hard time, a Phoenix food lover and supporter of the food and beverage community is helping restaurant workers who are out of work during the coronavirus crisis. Diana Brandt, better know as Arizona Foodie, the teal haired face behind one of the most popular food Instagram's in the state, started a fundraising campaign to support over 30 local restaurants. Many of these have already closed, have laid off or cut many of their employees or are on the verge of closing. There are two ways you can help support these workers, you can purchase one of three T-shirts for sale at $25, or you can donate to the virtual tip jar in amounts from $5 all the way up to $500. Anything and everything helps.
"It's been very heartbreaking to see everything that's going on," Brandt said. "I love my food community – my friends, my family – and they're hurting. So many of them were reaching out to me and I felt so helpless watching them lose everything they had worked for. I'm hoping that we can raise $60,000 or more, that will go directly to helping our local community, our friends and our family in the industry. " The money will go directly to restaurants like Worth Takeaway, The Larder & The Delta, Vecina Phoenix, Cotton & Copper, Crepe Bar, Kai Restaurant, Nook Kitchen and so many more. You can see the full list on the Brandt's website, www.arizonafoodiemag.com. The money will be evenly distributed to the restaurants and then they will disperse that money to their workers. This will greatly help those living paycheck to paycheck, pay their bills, many of them who survived off of the generous tips they received nightly.
