(PRESS RELEASE) Locally-owned artisan mezcal producer Mezcal Carreño will host Cinco de Carreño, a virtual Cinco de Mayo party with their highly demanded Lotería de Mezcal. Mezcal Carreño added their own mezcal twist on Mexican Bingo to teach mezcal culture while practicing social distancing and staying connected with the community. To have a dual Cinco de Mayo and Taco Tuesday celebration at home, Mezcal Carreño partnered up with local restaurants for their Lotería de Mezcal participants to have spirits, tacos/food and mezcal education indoors. Cinco de Carreño is on May 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. and is a community celebration on Zoom. The online meetup will have live music, lotería games, stories from the local hospitality industry from bartenders and chefs plus a few surprises.

Local restaurants are coming together as a community to support Mezcal Carreño, who was most recently crowned for “Best Mezcal” at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

To participate in Cinco de Carreño, guests can order full bottles of Mezcal Carreño spirits, cocktails or four-ounce mezcal shots as well as food to-go from one of these restaurants from May 1 through 5 to obtain the Zoom meeting login details and the game board for Lotería de Mezcal - while game cards last. For delivery or curbside pick-up information, pricing and availability on four-ounce shots, cocktails, and full bottles of Mezcal Carreño, call the participating restaurants. Participants must be living in the greater Phoenix area and over 21.
