Owners of Los Sombreros Launch Carnitas Way Burrito Delivery
Owners of Los Sombreros Launch New Restaurant Concept
Carnitas Way offers healthy and hearty California style Mexican food
(PRESS RELEASE) Kurt and Colleen Riske of Rooted Concepts, the ownership group behind popular Valley restaurant Los Sombreros and Jerry’s Restaurants in Arizona and Nevada, have announced the launch of a new concept called Carnitas Way. The new restaurant offers California-style burritos, bowls, and salads, all made from scratch with fresh, quality ingredients. Starting July 17, Carnitas Way is officially launching with delivery only.
“We’ve been working on the Carnitas Way concept for some time,” says Kurt Riske. “And while it may seem unusual to open a new restaurant in the midst of a pandemic, it’s actually great timing for this delivery only restaurant that features delicious dishes made with healthy ingredients that offer people serious value.”
Carnitas Way is an example of the growing trend of the ghost kitchen or cloud kitchen concept, which is essentially a delivery-only restaurant with no storefront. In some cases, cloud restaurants operate from commercial kitchens that rent space to restaurant owners interested in offering delivery only, with no dine-in service. In the case of Carnitas Way, the menu items will be prepared in the kitchens of sister restaurant Los Sombreros, with locations in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Mesa. Delivery will be handled through third party companies.
Carnitas Way burrito and bowl options include the Baja (carnitas, black beans, peppers, onions, cabbage, chipotle cream sauce, jack cheese), the Newport (carnitas, potatoes, poblano peppers, drunken salsa, queso fresco), the Laguna (carnitas, pinto beans, pico de gallo, chipotle tomato sauce), the Kapalua (carnitas, potatoes, carrots, poblano peppers, onions, roasted tomato salsa), the San Carlos (carnitas, chopped mango, pico de gallo, habanero salsa), the Outrigger (carnitas, zucchini, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, pinto beans, mole verde sauce), the North Shore (Veggie), the Wedge (two scrambled eggs, carnitas, cajun seasoned potatoes, bacon, chipotle tomato salsa, pico de gallo, avocado), and the Cancun (carnitas, salsa verde, jack cheese).
In addition to burritos and bowls, the menu also features the Tamarindo Salad (cabbage, spring mix, diced onions, red pepper, roasted corn, honey lime dressing, tajin, chopped cilantro, goat cheese, fried tortilla strips); Corn Salad; and chips and salsa. All menu items are under $10.
“Carnitas Way was created to make life a little easier and more enjoyable, by delivering satisfying, flavorful meals right to your door,” says Colleen Riske. “From the beach-inspired names of Carnitas Way menu items to our overall vibe, we’re excited to connect with people who appreciate the simple pleasure of a delicious meal done right.”
The menu for Carnitas Way is online at carnitasway.com and delivery will be available through Grubhub, DoorDash, and Postmates.
