The historic luxury guest ranch announces monthly cookout event, featuring a lineup of star-studded chefs who will showcase their signature specialties and demonstrate various cooking techniques across multiple culinary disciplines
(WICKENBURG, AZ - PRESS RELEASE) – The newly renovated guest ranch resort and spa, Rancho de los Caballeros, rooted in a long heritage of authentic Southwestern hospitality, announced today its inaugural Celebrity Chef Ranch Weekends starting in November 2023. The culinary series is slated to happen one weekend a month from November 2023 to April 2024, bringing some of the country’s best chefs and cooking masters to Wickenburg, Arizona, to create immersive three-course dinner experiences incorporating each chef’s signature specialties in collaboration with the ranch’s very own Executive Chef Jacob Ellis.

For the Celebrity Chef Ranch Weekends, Rancho de los Caballeros’ Executive Chef Jacob Ellis will be offering and preparing a delectable dessert for the Saturday dinner event. In addition, the luxury guest ranch will welcome award-winning mixologist Jordan Chandler who will be hosting a Saturday night cocktail experience featuring craft cocktails with his signature over the top mixtures. The 2023-2024 celebrity chef lineup includes:
· November 11, 2023: Chef Beau MacMillan - Chef Beau MacMillan has cooked in some of America’s most distinguished kitchens. A two-time James Beard Foundation award-nominee for Best Chef: Southwest, he hails from Plymouth, Massachusetts and is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. In March 2006, Chef MacMillan was invited to The Food Network’s kitchen stadium to compete in an episode of the hit series, Iron Chef America. Chef MacMillan was pitted against Iron Chef Bobby Flay in “Battle American Kobe Beef.” Ultimately, Chef MacMillan’s cuisine reigned supreme, letting him claim victory over Flay. He is a regular on several of Food Network’s most recognizable shows, including Guy’s Grocery Games, Best Thing I Ever Ate, and Cooks vs. Cons, and has made multiple appearances on The Today Show. Chef MacMillan served as the Executive Chef for the Sanctuary at Camelback Mountain from 2001 through 2021 before transitioning to his current role of Director of Culinary Operations for Clive Collective and oversees the new restaurant concept Cala in Scottsdale, Arizona. Chef Beau will bring this philosophy along with his expertise in multiple culinary disciplines to the ranch for an incredible cookout experience.
· January 27, 2024: Chef James Porter (TERRA farm+manor) - An award winning chef and business owner, James Porter is proud to call himself a “localist” who has built his career on incredible creativity, sound culinary principals, and a dedication to supporting local businesses, farmers and ranchers. Chef Porter’s current project’s are TERRA farm and manor, The TERRA Market, and Breadworks Artisan Bread. He believes that multi-national traditions can be applied to all styles of cuisine, and proves it with his playful and crowd pleasing dishes. With a focus on using ethically sourced, and sustainable seasonal ingredients, Chef James will create inspired cookout dishes that are innovative and special, yet rooted in the familiar.
· February 10, 2024: Chef Lisa Dahl (Dahl Restaurant Group) - One of the country’s leading female chefs and restaurateurs, Lisa has pioneered the culinary scene in Sedona, Arizona, for more than 27 years, Chef Lisa Dahl is the executive chef and owner of six outstanding restaurants in Northern Arizona’s Red Rock country. Known for her appearances on the Travel Channel's Food Paradise and Food Network's Beat Bobby Flay, and being a two-time featured chef at the prestigious James Beard House, Chef Lisa will be leaning into her recipes from her recent book A Romance with Food during the cookout for guests to enjoy.
· March 16, 2024: Chef Christopher Gross (Christopher’s) - World-renowned James Beard awarded ‘Best Chef,’ Chef Christopher Gross also received the 2016 Scottsdale Culinary Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award, was named one of Food & Wine Magazine’s America’s 10 Best New Chefs, and was the first chef in Arizona to be honored with the Robert Mondavi Culinary Award of Excellence. Best known for the modern twist he puts on French fare, Chef Christopher will showcase his fine dining expertise during this culinary-filled evening.
· April 20, 2024: Chef Jason Dady (Jason Dady Restaurant Group) - Chef Jason Dady’s unique approach to flavor, service and presentation became the building blocks of not only his restaurants, but also Chef Jason Dady Catering & Events, a premier catering service serving San Antonio and surrounding areas. The Jason Dady Restaurant Group is comprised of five restaurants in addition to catering and events services including: Tre Trattoria (2007), award-winning Two Bros BBQ Market (2008) and sister restaurant, Alamo BBQ Co. (2018); Range (2017), and Jardin (2020). "Explore your palate" is the mantra that drives Chef Dady in the kitchen and spills into his business. Through this simple yet honest approach, Chef Jason continually seeks the next exciting, intriguing mouthful and will bring this approach to the ranch for the ultimate cookout experience.
In addition to guest chef demos and meals, Celebrity Chef Ranch Weekend attendees will also be treated to a chef meet and greet and cookbook signing to round out the experience.
Starting at $325.00/night for double occupancy, guests can experience a full weekend of Southwestern hospitality and authentic western activities with the Celebrity Chef Ranch Weekend package which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner on Friday night in the main dining room.
