The Bar Phoenix Now Open in Arcadia
Local neighborhood lounge set to introduce new menu, late night eats and specialty cocktails
PHOENIX (PRESS RELEASE)— The creatives that brought local favorites like Nook Kitchen Arcadia, Nook Kitchen Downtown and the renovated Dilly Dally Lounge introduce The Bar — now open at 3174 E. Indian School Road in Phoenix.
Owner Frank Vairo says, “We’re excited to add The Bar to our growing restaurant group and happy to be a part of this neighborhood. The Bar is a kitschy place for innovative cocktails along with familiar bar-style food that’s been elevated with fresh ingredients and house-made menu items.”
Cocktails boast names that pay homage to popular, late-90s flick The Big Lebowski, and unique ingredient combinations include the “Dudebro,” featuring Absolut vodka, St. George coffee and Irish cream; “Go with the Flow,” The Bar’s take on a vodka margarita over ice- you call tall or short, featuring Absolut Lime, Deep Eddy Lemon, Aperol, sweet and sour juice, and a splash of soda; the “Sexican” with Mezcal, Dolin Rouge vermouth, and Campari liqueur, as well as classics like the Old Fashioned with Russell’s Reserve Bourbon.
Chef Nick LaRosa is at the helm of the kitchen, creating familiar comfort food on his version of an approachable “bar menu.” Like Nook, The Bar’s menu is focused on house-made items and sourcing local products. However, most intriguing is the announcement of Chef LaRosa’s own John Blaze Honey Hot Wings (aka JBHH). Chef LaRosa takes his signature mild and blazing hot wings seriously for the adventurous wing aficionados. No Bar would be complete without scratch-made potato skins and onion rings, the Double Decker American Burger featuring Noble Bread, house-made fries, and the Thick-Cut Bacon BLT, with an optional egg or cheese. Sweet indulgences like the Cookies & Cream Reese’s Pieces Sundae round out the dessert portion of the menu.
The Bar is open from 3:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. daily. For more, visit www.thebarphx.com.
