Tomaso’s Presents Wine Event of the Season and Last Opportunity Events
(PRESS RELEASE) Tomaso’s Italian Restaurant founded by culinary legend and renowned restaurateur Tomaso Maggiore has been an Italian institution since 1977. Chef Tomaso Maggiore opened his first Arizona restaurant with wife Patricia Maggiore to bring expertly crafted and artfully presented traditional Italian cuisine in a fine dining experience to Phoenix’s Camelback Corridor. Chef Tomaso Maggiore had a remarkable culinary career and life and founded over 35 of Phoenix’s most beloved restaurants throughout the decades including Tomaso’s, Tommy V’s, Tomaso’s Italian Kitchen and more. Tomaso Maggiore’s successors, including his son Joey Maggiore and daughter-in-law Cristina Maggiore (concept creators and husband-and-wife duo behind Hash Kitchen, The Sicilian Butcher, The Sicilian Baker and The Mexicano) and daughter Melissa Maggiore-Meyer (owner of The Italian Daughter) are committed to carry on Tomaso’s legacy. The Italian Daughter in North Scottsdale is a love letter to Melissa’s father and The Sicilian Butcher is a tribute to Tomaso Maggiore who was born and raised in Sicily and had a strong passion for Sicilian traditions and the Mediterranean island’s rich culture.
With the utmost love and respect, the Maggiore Family will end the era for the legacy of Tomaso’s and open a new chapter to honor one of the greatest chefs in Arizona’s history. The Maggiore Group plans to debut a new restaurant dedicated to Chef Tomaso Maggiore named Il Massetos which means “Tomaso” in the Sicilian language and will be located on the northwest corner of Camelback Road and 32nd Street in the former Bank of America space. With an anticipated 2024 opening, this new restaurant concept by The Maggiore Group will be the ultimate homage to Tomaso Maggiore. The fine dining concept will transform the bank vault with a piano bar, two large outdoor dining patios and private dining rooms. The menu will feature restaurant favorites from Tomaso’s plus a Chef Joey Maggiore spin on his father’s classic Italian dishes. Here are upcoming last chance events:
